Alright ladies, hands up if your boyfriend, fiancée or husband watches sports!  I’m guessing it’s AT LEAST 75%.  Now how many women actually like that their partners in crime watch sports? Probably closer to 7.5%.  Sorry boys but if you guys think most of us actually like watching the ‘big game’ with you, you are for the most part sorely mistaken. Generally we find watching Tiger line up a putt about as exciting as watching nail polish dry. In fact if it was a really cute color, I’d rather watch the nail polish, hands down. (pun intended)

As much as I would prefer to find alternate things to do for three hours on the weekend rather than sitting in front of the idiot box with a bag of chips and a beer (shopping or a fun tumble between the sheets comes to mind) I have to admit that I am a baseball addict. But I draw the line there! I played it a lot growing up so I have an affinity to it. But that’s it. I’m not the girl who watches sports highlights over and over freaking out at a great glove save or the pain of a breaking ankle.

Psssst. Hey guys. Remember there’s a time and a place for everything. Nothing is less sexy then trying to get it on while sports highlights. You will be so much better off if you turn it off and her on. Once your love-wrestling match is over and you’ve both gone back to your corners…then you can get back to all the macho TV guy stuff. Call us selfish but we just like to be reassured that our time in the sheets out ranks your plays of the week!

And ladies, if this issue is a bit of a hot-button that drives you crazy, try taking a non-confrontational approach that may end up a win-win situation.  Try sitting down for a game and have your guy explain the basic rules and what some of the stats mean and the background behind the teams playing.  At least then you will be able to follow along. And then once you’re in the boy’s club…heat it up a little bit and make bets on the game.  Not real gambling but more sexy wagers. “If my team kicks a field goal before half time I’ll give you a…treat.” Not unlike real gambling you just might loose your shirt!

And finally the best reason for trying to take an interest in your guy’s love for sports?  It’s a two way street sista! Because you actively tried something that is important to him, he (in theory) should to do the same for you!
